What Was the Idea We Presented?
During Startup Weekend, our team presented FrAnK - U, an AI-based app designed to promote self-motivation through social validation. Targeting young busy adults struggling to build habits, the app provides no-fluff reminders for tasks and events. We identified our customer segment as smartphone users over 18 and validated our idea through market research. Competing with apps like Google Keep and Todoist, we adopted a B2B2C model. As the product designer, I was responsible for designing the app screens and landing page, ensuring a user-friendly and engaging interface.

Roles

Our team consisted of three members: a product manager, a finance and accounting specialist, and myself as the engineer/product designer. We collaborated effectively to present FrAnK - U , from initial concept to final pitch. Our project was well-received by the judges, highlighting our innovative approach and potential market impact. This experience not only enhanced our entrepreneurial skills but also demonstrated our ability to work as a cohesive unit under time constraints.

Learnings
One of my key learnings from this hackathon was how to effectively pitch ideas. We started FrAnK - U from scratch, which taught me the importance of creativity, teamwork, and clear communication in bringing a concept to life within a short timeframe.
